The Internet of Things has become a well-known brand for a set of research issues in the pervasive and ubiquitous computing communities. This project focuses on  making smart things and connecting them to the internet. Making Internet of things (IoT). Internet has become very important part of our digital life. modern generation believe that internet is one the basic needs to human. internet is vastly used for information sharing, communication and entertainment. this is growing exponentially so does the devices that we use for internet.

IoT is bringing and promising important changes in our lives and in the industrial environment. Numerous IoT research and application projects have been done in recent years, by universities, in collaborations industry-academia and there are IoT increasing activities and applications in the industry.

IoT applications in the sense of this workshop are solutions using IoT technologies to improve industrial manufacturing processes, enable new and efficient ways to do operate production plants, create new service or supervision means for industrial installations, offer an optimized infrastructure, reduce operational cost or improve human safety in industrial areas.

Technology has grown so fast the we can make anything smart. Now we can connect these smart things together and make their own internet. which is called internet of things.

Why do we need internet of things.

We now have access to many digital devices and we can get most of information through these device. But we are still missing some basic and essential information that we need. these basic information can make us more efficient. making internet of thing can helps us to collect and share small but important information. things that we connect to the internet are small, energy efficient and smart. we can view, analyze data and make more efficient decision.

There are many examples such as

Smart vehicle

These vehicle can send their current location to users. In case of break in they can inform to their owner. It can track how much fuel they are consuming and how far they have traveled. all the information can be accessed via a mobile device or any web interface.

Smart House

Whole house can be connected to the internet. we can use small sensor and control device that are connected to the internet. we can monitor as well as control these device through internet.

Robotics Association of Nepal(RAN) has been continuously working on growing technology which are evolving in the world. Scientist has predicted that all the things that are in world will be connected through the internet and can be controlled as per our desire preferably known as Internet of Things (IoT).  We have tested our devices available and had connected to the internet and controlling the app we have made on our own.

We want to share what we have learn so far. Join in our workshop, be the maestro of the next generation technology.

Dairymaker code + design Challenge 2015 was a unique initiation from Robotics Association Of Nepal after standing as winner from Nepal in “Coding your way to opportunity”. During survey for the possible idea pitching call, we came up with the idea of gathering all the information in the database and retrieve them when needed after visiting cooperative in Hetauda.

We conducted workshop on database management system so that real time data can be extracted and used for real time analysis.
