About AI For Good Nepal
Youth Challenge
The AI for Good – Youth Challenge encourages young talents to develop solutions with the help of AI and robotics for various problems. This year is the focus for creating a robot that can learn to identify objects by color, for example, red or blue boxes, and sort them into appropriate dumpsters. In waste management , recycling, and in its movement from one location to another this project seeks to address some of the most sensitive challenges in such processes as efficiency, eradicating errors as well as enhancing the safety measures. Through automation, sorting becomes sustainable and efficient effectively inspiring participants to learn about AI, computer vision, robotics application.

The increasing severity of global climate events is intensifying the risk and impact of large-scale disasters. Extreme heat, droughts, cold waves, and heavy rainfall trigger devastating phenomena like mudslides, flash floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, and wildfires. In these critical moments, robots play a crucial role in rapidly locating survivors when every second matters.
Autonomous machines are transforming disaster response by minimizing risks for first responders and enhancing relief efforts. They make rescue operations faster, safer, and more efficient—while also reducing costs and carbon footprints. From search and rescue missions to geological mapping, damage assessment, rubble removal, and delivering medical aid, robots are redefining disaster management.
Are you ready to innovate for a safer world? Join the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge (First Edition) and collaborate with teams worldwide to design, build, and program a robot that tackles disaster response challenges in 2024-2025. Be part of the future of humanitarian robotics!
